The women we support are often:

  • Pregnant or have recently given birth
  • Feeling vulnerable and/or alone
  • Refugees or asylum seekers
  • Very worried about not having even the most basic items needed for the new baby’s arrival
  • Living with complex situations such as illness, homelessness or domestic abuse
  • Emotionally unstable, low in mood or not mentally ready to have their baby
  • Lacking some parenting skills and knowledge about how things work in the UK
  • Faced with very limited or no financial resources at all.


The services we offer:

  • One-to-one meetings with women during their pregnancies
  • Helping service users plan their birth
  • Providing support at appointments
  • Letting service users know about other organisations that can help
  • Speaking up for women and making sure their needs are met
  • Listening and providing emotional support
  • Staying with service users when they are in labour and giving birth
  • Helping around the home, just after baby is born
  • Encouraging service users to connect with the community
  • Providing breastfeeding advice and support
  • Assisting in the preparation of formula feeds
  • Assisting with registration of birth.


Who can make a referral?

Anyone can let us know about someone who needs our help – even the women themselves. Here are just a few of the organisations and individuals already referring to our service:

If you, or someone you know, needs our help, please telephone or email us as soon as you possibly can. The sooner we are able to get in touch with the person who needs our help the better.
